I spend a lot of time in my car. I put on about 40,000 miles/year. I listen to sports radio stations, morning shows, and my CDs. I always need driving music, songs that keep me awake, and songs that hit me deeply because of where I am. My latest driving song is a classic -- Have You Ever Seen the Rain. Here are the lyrics:

Have You Ever Seen The Rain?

(J.C. Fogerty)

Someone told me long ago
There's a calm before the storm
I know
It's been coming for some time
When it's over so they say
It'll rain on a sunny day
I know
Shining down like water

I wanna know
Have you ever seen the rain?
I wanna know
Have you ever seen the rain?

Coming down on a sunny day
Yesterday and days before
Sun is cold and rain is hard
I know
It's been that way for all my time
Till forever on it goes
Through the circle fast and slow
I know
And it can't stop I wonder

I wanna know
Have you ever seen the rain?
I wanna know
Have you ever seen the rain?

I wanna know
Have you ever seen the rain?
I wanna know
Have you ever seen the rain?
